Rotary Radio Promotions Announcements
on Community Radio stations in District 9510
18 Community Stations

This idea commenced with an idea from Rotary Adelaide Light Member Rob McLennan and also volunteer with Radio 88.9 Adelaide Coast FM, who then connected with the Public image team – please read on to see what Rob has to say and where this idea is up to now.
“After Adelaide's Coast FM 88.7 received a request from the CEO of Probus South Pacific Ltd
early last year to air their Membership Recruitment Radio Campaign, it gave me the idea for
Rotary District 9510 to produce something similar.

I pitched the idea to Julie Johnson, Public Image Chair 2022-23 who was very enthusiastic and supportive. Together we created a radio script which was recorded voluntarily by three Coast FM presenters, two male and one female and produced very professionally by Jim Mortimer, the  Coast FM Production Manager at no cost.

As of Tuesday 17th January, two of these promo's had begun being aired on Coast FM.

Rob and Julie then prepared a formal Rotary letter and sent to approximately 32 community and two regional commercial radio stations that are located mainly within District 9510 requesting that they air the Rotary Promotion as a free to air community announcement.”

As of 20 February 2023 there are now 18 Community Radio stations airing these Rotary Announcements, which are listed below:
