COMMUNITY IMPACT EXPO & CELEBRATION DINNER

June 3rd was an opportunity for Community Groups and Rotary to demonstrate the Impact they have in our Community in the form of an EXPO which was held in the historic Bonython Hall on North Terrace Adelaide.
Following the EXPO a Celebration Dinner was held at the National Wine Centre where "The Aboriginal Chronic Disease Prevention Project" was launched.
This project will fund two Aboriginal PhD scholars over three and a half years to undertake research to establisha capability development program that supports the upskilling of an Aboriginal healthcare workforce in chroniuc disease prevention.
The successful candidates will work within Aboriginal communities to develop culturally appropriate model to improve health outcomes.

This project is a partnership between Rotary Adelaide, Rotary District 9510, Australian Rotary Health, School of Public Health at The Adelaide University and the Wardliparinggi Aboriginal Health Equity Team at SAMHRI.

AllKids - Official Opening

When Jeff and I (Jenny) started the Rotary District Governor journey nearly 4 years ago we never dreamed that the result of my Rotary project would be District 9510 funding a Learning Centre for children who had no access to education  in the Ream Commune Cambodia and that we would be attending the opening of that Centre. Rotary at work, Rotary Serving to Change lives.
Each Rotary District Governor has an opportunity to promote a "Partners Project".
In the Rotary year 2021-2022, Jenny Neale chose AllKids as her project and promoted it widely across District 9510 encouraging Clubs and indiviuals to donate to this worthwhile project which supported the right of all kids to receive an education. AllKids was established by Paul Otto in Cambodia and has made a difference to those less priviledged.

Learn more about this important project by contacting the Rotary Club of Strathalbyn and by listening to this radio interview conducted by ABC Adelaide Mornings team and the original story from Greg Page - original Yellow Wiggle.
